Do you remember that smart glass favorite has emerged at the CES of 2018 this year?That's right, that Vuzix Blade.It is not a "properly" mechanical mechanical, it looks like an ordinary glasses, and the AR video is displayed overlay at the end of the view.This was a product that was a smart glass we imagined.

This time, I participated in the conference held by VUZIX every year in Japan every year.In addition to AR's present and those demonstrations, AR's future and its initiatives were introduced.It is a gis that handles a lot of AR related news, but it was surprising that it was not possible to know just by looking at letters and videos, and it was surprising that I noticed it for the first time.

VUZIX BLADE: You can understand it, Sugoi and Tsubasa!

When I attached VUZIX BLADE, I thought "light ...".If you've ever attached a VR headset, you'll know, but it's quite heavy.If you move your head suddenly, it will shift, it will fall over time, and you will feel pressure on your nose and forehead.But BLADE was a little larger with a slightly larger sunglasses, and the comfort was surprisingly natural.

What surprised me most is that the operation is easy.The part of the vine on the right is a touchpad, but there are only three basic operations. I don't know if BLADE is amazing or my brain is amazing, but you can match and remove this display, focus on your eyes.You can intuitively use the contents of the display and see the environment through the lens.

But more than that, unlike a smartphone, the "portable display that does not need to be supported by hand" was groundbreaking without tired arms.However, if you have a lot of operations, you need to maintain your hands at the height of the eyes, so you will be more tired than your smartphone.Perhaps it would be the strongest if you could only operate the display with the display at your eyes.

App: Overlay display that does not get tired of eyes and neck

This is an application that detects the marker (such as barcodes, letters, etc.) and overwrites another video with AR.One of the most common is the support of picking things from the shelves.

The information "Please pick this item on this shelf N) is overwritten on the shelf, so the eyes do not need to go back and forth between the order slip and the shelf.This is likely to reduce fatigue and mistakes.
