KINTO, which develops a car subscription service, asked 550 people who currently own a car and who answered that they can explain the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) to others. , "Electric car" was implemented.

The electric vehicle in this research was BEV = Battery Electric Vehicle (Battery Electric Vehicle, Full Electric Vehicle). Other electrified vehicles are hybrid (HEV), plug-in hybrid (PHEV), and fuel cell (FCEV). The cars currently owned by the respondents are 69.3% "gasoline vehicles", 30.4% "hybrid vehicles (HEV)", and 6.9% "diesel vehicles" (If you own more than one vehicle, answer all).

When asked, "If you were to buy a new car, what would you choose next?" (BEV)” was 37.8%, and “gasoline vehicle” was 37.1%.

When asked why they chose an electric car as a replacement car, 59.6% answered "because it emits no exhaust gas and is environmentally friendly", 49.0% answered "because driving costs are low", and "because it is carbon neutral." 45.7% of the respondents answered that there is.

On the other hand, when we asked the reasons for not choosing an electric car, 53.8% of respondents said that the vehicle was expensive, and that they answered, "Where you can charge on the go." 50.0% of the respondents said, "Because the distance that can be driven on a full charge (cruising distance) is short" was 47.7%. By the way, "I like engine cars" is 8th at 14.8%.

What do you expect from ``electric vehicles'' in the questions for everyone? 60.9% of respondents said that they want the distance (cruising distance) to be increased.
