"Business Development Masters", in which the Filament CEO Kakatsu, who supports a wide range of new business development of companies, talks with celebrities from all over the world, leading to business development and remote work.
Following the first part, we will deliver a dialogue with Tokuto Kato, director of the open innovation promotion office of Seino Holdings. In the second part, we asked about the new business concept in Kato's head and the axis of the ideas that were valued at that time.
セイノーホールディングスのオープンイノベーション推進室 室長である加藤徳人さんMr. Kado: Mr. Kato was also on the web distributed in June and August, "It's hard to live 2021" LIVE PITCH, and talked about the new business that we are working on.A story that is collaborated with Takashi Ueno of Daekin Power (DK), a power generation company of Daikin Kogyo company.I have heard from Ueno that we are doing something interesting with Mr. Kato.
Mr. Kato: Mr. DK is challenging to create a circulating town with a biomass power generation using cacao, but we believe that the energy born there can be used as a power supply for transportation in Coconnet, a coconnet of concierge service.。Currently there are about 700 transport vehicles, but we want to make it an EV.As a result, the CO2 emissions are reduced, and in an emergency, it serves as a regional power supply to carry the electricity of biomass power generation. You talked about that in the program.
Kado: Is there anything that has progressed most recently?
Mr. Kato: A smart cityization in front of Kaga Onsen Station in Ishikawa Prefecture has begun to create a city with cocoa beans, and we want to participate there.
By extending the Hokuriku Shinkansen, the Shinkansen stopped at Kaga Onsen Station, but the station is a vast farmland. The idea is to plant cacao there to make chocolate and develop products, and to make it smart city with biomass power generation using shells, but I would like to be involved in the power part. However, from here, it is not a story that is approved in the company ...
Kado: I'll ask you about Kato's head, so please talk more and more.
Kato: Yes (laughs). It is a common form that the story of presentation on the pitch continues, and it is usually the end of selling power in the region, but it will end if the power is sold, but it is reinvested a part of the profit obtained by selling it in the region.I'll do it.Among them, Ueno -san has various concepts, but what we are involved in is to set up EVs in the area.
Coconnet is now more than 90 % of gasoline cars, and I want to make EVs from the viewpoint of carbon neutral, but I can't buy a new one.I'm running EVs in some Nagoya, etc., but it's a story that I got a national subsidy. So we try to create a mechanism to share Coconnet vehicles in the region.
Mr. Kado: Please specifically talk about what kind of business model it will be.
Mr. Kato: Coconnet uses EVs for delivery, but at that time, he puts an old man to go to the hospital or picks up his child's lesson. In other words, the EV vehicle is a local infrastructure and resources, and instead of holding Coconnet, it is used.
We will also go shopping, and we will also pick up and drop and drop off a hospital that requires a mixture necessary for the area and a two -kind license. The idea is that local governments can invest in the region again due to power sales, so we do not have to pay 100 % EV holding costs.I want to do this in various places.
Kado: I see.
Mr. Kato: The task of pick -up and shopping is larger the more you go to the area. However, with the drone, if you put one, the region has a small population and the mesh is rough, so there is little demand and it is inefficient as a delivery. In such a case, not only delivering things, but also a hole can be filled by picking up people.
After that, the main time of Coconnet is about 11:00 to 20:00, so if we are not using it, there is also a form that other people use.If you put it in front of the station, you can use it as a car share. In the event of a disaster, the EV can be turned into a regional power supply. Then I talk to Mr. Ueno that it will be received by local people.
Kado: This is the same story as Seino Limit.By opening up the local resources so that they can be used freely, it will be easier for everyone to live by eliminating the style that one company will pay for the cost and enabling resources effectively.Opening the logistics infrastructure will help you to have a deficit, making it convenient for local people.
Mr. Kato: It's an idea that the company has not obtained approval (laughs), but I think that it is okay to use a part of our center into a power generation facility.
Mr. Kado: Even if it is a concept, it is fun to hear the story of such a forefront (laughs)
Mr. Kato: In addition to the concept, the problem of abandoned pallets, which are the issues of logistics sites.
Kado: What is a high palette?
Kato: A wooden pallet to be posted when transporting luggage. When it comes to consolidating that, most of them accumulate in logistics operators. There are many cases where the pallet accumulates at the logistics site after delivery from the factory to the pallet, and after delivery.Ultimately, logistics operators often cost costly, and sometimes cost tens of millions of yen a year.
Mr. Kado: You also talked about collaboration with Osaka Gas subsidiary Spacecool.Regarding the use of radiant cooling materials developed by Spacecuol, I was presented on various uses, such as putting it on a kangaroo truck, and I thought it was interesting in the SDGs context.
Mr. Kato: In the part you can tell, it is up to the point where a film -shaped Spacecool material is pasted on a coconnet vehicle on a demonstration basis, but it is now a discussion whether it can be pasted on a vehicle in Indonesia through an Indonesian group company.doing.In addition, he introduced that it could be incorporated into a product in a truck maker that is closely related to the Company, or talked about putting it on a Coconnet Okinawan vehicle, and he is progressing quietly.
Kadokaku: Did you talk about working together Arch?
Kato: That's right.Just before the pitch event at that time, I asked you to be a collaborative partner.
Mr. Kado: Did you do it unless Tele Higashi was making an event?
Kato: I guess. If you don't have Arch, you don't know that there is such a technology in the first place.
Kadokaku: The fact that Kato is already releasing his hand and moving to the next project from the encounter born in Arch is also a story that leads to SEINO LIMIT's open public idea.If you hold everything yourself, the spread will be limited.
Mr. Kato: I value the sensitivity of the antenna and just to receive it.What kind of dish to make it a toss -up is another story. When I go to a rural area, I ask various issues, but it is great to be able to receive it.I don't know where the new business is born, and I think it's the number of encounters.I try to meet people as much as possible and create opportunities to meet.
Kadakun: SEINO LIMIT's idea is the same, and Kato's personal idea also used the word receiving, but isn't that the spirit of giving? He says that he should decide, not to decide on his own.
Kato: That's right.I think so.I think that new businesses are a department where such information is gathered. And I'll cook to some extent so that it leads to the next.
Mr. Kado: Certainly, Mr. Kato has a sense of security that he will receive you (laughs). That's why I heard a voice at Spacecool.
Mr. Kato: As I am, I think that the role of this stage is to raise the toss.
Mr. Kado: I think toss is probably to decide, "Isn't this a scenario like this?"There aren't many people who can decide that. But it's wonderful because the results are actually given.
Kato: I don't think it's enough. After that, it is necessary to know what each business company and the division wants to do with both wheels at the same time.I want to solve the local issues, so it will be a story again, but I think it's strange to ask the local people, "What are the issues?"Local people are so hard to see, so I think there are many cases where they want something to suggest.I want to be able to throw the answer from the business company's perspective. However, it can only be done by "one team" that is not "one company", but a "one team" realized by open innovation.I don't think I can do it alone.
Kadokaku: It's a great stance that you can say that you can first understand that you can't do it for reasons such as cost, and spread it.We have been very studying today because we are going to challenge the civil cooperation business.thank you very much!
