Fitbit Japan has started pre-ordering the health care & fitness tracker "Fitbit Charge 5" on August 26th. The price is 24,900 yen (tax included).
Fitbit.com will ship by late September. In addition to being able to purchase in advance at some retail stores' online shops, advance reservations will be started at Amazon, Bic Camera, Yodobashi Camera, Joshin Denki, Watch Honpo, neel, TIMETIME, and TicTAC. It will be available for purchase worldwide in the fall of 2021.
The product is a health management & fitness tracker that supports comprehensive health including fitness, stress, heart health (keeps track of heart rate 24 hours a day), and sleep. It features the first EDA sensor on Fitbit trackers.
In addition, it has a built-in GPS function, 20 exercise modes, automatic exercise recognition function, and V02 max guessing function.
EDA sensors can measure the body's response to stress by reading small changes in the sweat glands on the fingers. This is the first product of the company to be installed in the smart watch "Fitbit Sense" released in the fall of 2020. Since then, 70% of users have successfully reduced their heart rate during a 2-minute EDA scan session.
You can also manage your comprehensive health data, including respiratory rate, skin temperature fluctuations, and blood oxygen wellness, with the Health Indicators dashboard in the Fitbit app.
For sleep, sleep tools such as sleep scores, sleep stages, and SmartWake alarms are available.
Equipped with a new AMOLED color display (display area: diagonal 26.43 mm) that is 10% thinner than the old model and twice as bright as the old model. It has a constant display mode that allows you to check the data at any time during training.
Battery life is up to 7 days. It also supports contactless payments such as Fitbit Pay and Suica. You can select any dial from 20 types of dials and select the information you want to display on the screen.
The band includes the included silicon Infinity belt (S: wrist circumference 130-170 mm / L: wrist circumference 170-210 mm size), highly breathable sports belt, nylon hook & luris band, and handmade premium Horween leather belt. And so on.
You'll also get a 6-month free "Fitbit Premium" with advanced analysis, actionable advice, mindfulness exercises, and nutritional advice.
"Daily Readiness" is available to let you know if your body is in a workout state or in a state where recovery should be prioritized (Charge 5, Sense, Versa 3, Versa 2, Luxe, etc. Coming soon on each Inspire 2 device).
You can view your fitness-based fatigue (activity), heart rate variability (HRV), and score based on your most recent sleep state, analyze the data that affected your score, and advise on active heart rate zone goals. Content is available to support you.
