NTT DoCoMo will start the “Anytime Kaedoki Program” on September 24th, which makes it easier to buy expensive flagship smartphones such as iPhone 13 by returning the purchased model.
The “Anytime Kaedoki Program” sets the purchase price of the purchased model two years later as the residual value (= final payment) on the condition of 24 payments. By excluding the residual value from the main unit price, this is a program that allows you to make up to 23 payments in low-cost installments.
If you return the target model in the 23rd month, you will not need to pay the residual value set for the 24th time. In addition, if you return the applicable model between the 1st and 22nd months, you will receive a monthly discount for installment payments from the month following the return until the 22nd month as an early-use benefit. .
If you continue to use the target model after the 24th month, the residual value set for the 24th time will be automatically subdivided into 24 months. If you return the applicable model during the subdivided period, you do not need to pay the subdivision payment in the month following the return.
According to the company, the conventional "Smartphone Welcome Program" has a uniform discount amount of 33% for returning the terminal, and the discount amount is inferior compared to similar programs of other companies. Also, the problem was that the discount amount could not be changed for each device.
Therefore, by setting the residual value based on the expected future market price of the terminal and discounting the residual value from the main unit price, we realized a discount amount comparable to that of KDDI and Softbank. It is said that flexible discounts will be possible.
In addition, this program can be used without a DoCoMo line contract, just like the conventional program.
