NTT DoCoMo announced on October 1 that it will release AR glasses "Nreal Air" developed by Nreal Ltd. in December. Handled at docomo online shop and docomo shops nationwide. Price TBD.
"Nreal Air" is an AR glass that pursues small size and light weight to the limit. With a light weight of about 76g, it is easy to carry and comfortable to use for long periods of time. The design is also comfortable for everyday use.
In "Mirroring Mode", you can connect to a smartphone that supports USB-C DisplayPort Alternate Mode and enjoy content such as videos and web browsers. The display inside the glass is equivalent in size to a 130-inch screen installed 4m ahead. On some Android smartphones, you can also use the "MR Space" function that displays multiple contents simultaneously in the virtual space in AR glasses, allowing you to enjoy multitasking.
Because the display part has a see-through structure, you can check the surroundings even when you wear it. You can also do something while watching content.
The product comes with a case, light shield, vision correction lens frame, nose pad, and detachable USB Type-C cable.
The size is W148 x H51 x D159mm when in use, and W148 x H51 x D60mm when folded. The display is OLED, the resolution is 1,920 x 1,080 dots on each side, and the viewing angle is 46 degrees. It supports 3DoF, which detects the rotation and tilt of the head and neck on 3 axes, and is equipped with a dual speaker/microphone.
