Apple is reported to have some ambitious health care features for the upcoming Apple Watch. The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported in an article dated September 1st that future Apple Watches will "help users with tools to notify them that their blood pressure is rising and help them plan their pregnancy. There is a possibility that a "thermometer for doing" will be installed.

Apple is also working on improving the arrhythmia notification and sleep recording capabilities of the Apple Watch, which may be available in 2022.
Apple is focusing on health care and fitness-related features as one of the key elements of the Apple Watch. For example, in the "Apple Watch Series 6" released in 2020, in addition to being equipped with a sensor that measures blood oxygen concentration for the first time, it announced a subscription service "Fitness +" that provides workout videos and the like. With the addition of sensors to the Apple Watch and enhanced healthcare features, Apple will be able to stay ahead of the competition in the smartwatch market by providing advanced healthcare technology.
On the other hand, it is unclear when the blood pressure measurement function reported this time can be provided. According to the WSJ, Apple is researching how to use a sensor that measures "the speed of a pulse wave sent by a heartbeat through an artery." Apple Watch equipped with this sensor can display the tendency of blood pressure, but it may not be able to show "baseline measurement of systolic and diastolic blood pressure", and WSJ will change this function in the future at the development stage. There is a possibility.
